whether we like it or not, social media is a huge part of our brand and marketing in this day and age. but using your social network to reach new customers and capture new clients doesn’t have to be difficult, even if you’re a newbie!
here are my must-have tools for social media planning:
google sheets

i know, i know, this definitely isn’t a glamorous tool but it’s legit. google sheets is basically the web-based version of excel, and i love it because i can collaborate on it and share with my team. as soon as you make an update, everyone can see it!
i use this free tool to map out future posts, keep track of when they are ready, and when to schedule them.
if you have gmail, you can access google sheets here.
tailwind

some might argue that pinterest is not a social media network, but there’s no harm in treating it the same way you would as a traditional platform.
i use tailwind to schedule out all my blog posts and images to pinterest so that i constantly have content going out. i like that i can pin close to 100 items over the course of 7 days, without having to sit down every day to do that.
oh, and tailwind isn’t just for pinterest! you can also use this scheduler to plan out and schedule instagram content to your feed, too. you can try out a free month of tailwind by clicking here!
canva

as a photographer, many of my shared social media images are my own photos. but i also like to share in my instagram stories and on pinterest about my mentor program or my new blog posts, which means i can get a little more creative.
i use canva to develop graphics and images that communicate my freebies, tips and more––its so easy.
you can sign up for a free account at canva or access more features with the inexpensive canva pro ($12.95/mo). the user-friendly platform has tons of free templates for stories, opt-ins, portfolios and pinterest pins. goldmine!
it doesn’t have to be complex. keep it simple with a few basic tools!
now that you have the tools, it’s time to take your social media up a notch and get your hands on my free instagram caption template guide here. this guide will help you know what to post and how to make your captions attract your ideal clients!
social media definitely takes time, but it’s so worth it when it comes to growing your business and engaging with clients. want more tips for building your business? i would love to work with you! book a call with me here.
